The group's agenda includes raising public awareness about the industry, and forging positive connections with communities.  The release also mentions legal lobbying, promoting networking and collaboration, and endorsing a code of ethics.  Paul Hirsch, President of the group's Founding Committee, said in the release, "We envision an organization owned by its members with the purpose of serving the industry as a whole.''
