GoDaddy recently launched the Domain Name Aftermarket¨ auction house, where domainers can snag domain names from their cell phones and other mobile devices.

The website of this new service, which boasts more than 1.5 million available names, is TDNAM.com.

In other news, GoDaddy.com also recently struck an arrangement with ICANN and RegisterFly to assume all of the troubled registrar’s domain portfolio of more than 800,000 names.

As part of a registrar’s ICANN accreditation, it needs to have a plan in place to handle insolvency, loss of accreditation and other potential interruptions to clients’ domain service.

Domain owners whose names are moved from RegisterFly to GoDaddy.com under this arrangement can call GoDaddy 24-hours a day for more information, or they can visit godaddy.com/welcomeregisterfly.
